This site aims to bring together the research work of Michel Fabre de la Ripelle from 1949 to 2024 in order to give an in-depth work on fundamental research available to researchers.
Michel Fabre de la Ripelle was born on December 21, 1924 in Paris.
He often changed schools due to the hazards of war and successive moves. However he obtained his baccalaureate in Mathematics in 1943.
Then he undertook between 1944 and 1946 to continue his higher education at the University of Paris where he chose these subjets: general mathematics, differential and integral calculus and rational mechanics and general physics.
In 1947 he studied probability calculus, wave mechanics, radioactivity and electronics and then joined the National Center for Scientific Research, at the Radium Institute and completed a doctoral thesis with Louis de Broglie (Nobel Prize in Physics in 1929) as his thesis director.
In 1961 he was invited to Japan as a teacher at the University of Kyoto (Japan).
In 1964 he was appointed scientific attaché at the Japanese Embassy. At the time science was under the auspice of culture and therefore depended on the cultural council, itself attached to the ambassador.
He was appointed, after a decision by the minister, Alain Peyrefitte, scientific advisor to the ambassador. This was the creation of a position differentiating culture and science in French embassies.
He was appointed director of research at the CNRS and in 1969 was recipient of the National Merit Medal for services rendered to France.
From 1970 he collaborated with more than a dozen universities around the world and was regularly invited to the United States of America, Russia, South Africa, Brazil and European universities.
Retired in 1990 he continued to publish until 2024.
